Other similar CDs I've purchased include both. The only problem with this CD is that it does not include either a printed version of the French lyrics, or an English translation of the lyrics.
The only problem with the CD is that the liner notes do not include the lyrics; however, because these are traditional songs, you can find the lyrics online. The language is very clear and the songs are enjoyable even if you don't know most (or any). of the vocabulary. My daughter is 20 months old and loves music, but this is by far her favorite CD. If it had the lyrics in the liner, I'd want to give it 6 stars. This is a classic collection, with traditional children's songs done in the post-war style of the 1950s. Better still, her father, brother (age 12), and I all love it, too. You've probably never heard any songs from it, but it's probably the album you're imagining when you think of getting a CD of French songs for your child.
Sounds very "vintage" and is clearly a masterpiece. It's great. Sounds very pleasing to adults as well as my toddler son, we both love it.
excellent buy. At first it sounds old fashion, songs that my father listened to. My daughter is 19 months old and sings to it every time we are in the car.
She has enjoyed it enormously and recognized most of the tunes. I bought the album for my stepmom who is Belgian, in her 70s - grew up listening to French lullabies and is very sick.
